3.7? Weighted or unweighted?

Chances aren't good, but I think it's still possible. Your best chances are at UC Merced, UC Santa Cruz, and maybe Riverside. SC is the weirdest of the UCs and actually does look at the whole picture of a candidate more than just the numbers. Merced is new and presumably has the lowest standards. Riverside used to have the rep as the worst UC so it was the easiest to get into. Honestly, it doesn't look too good.

3.7, especially unweighted, is a pretty good GPA. I know my SAT score helped offset my GPA (altho the difference wasn't as dramatic as yours). Still, your GPA should help offset your SAT. I just hope it's good enough. Good luck.

Did you take the SAT II's? What's your class ranking? You just might make it based on statewide eligibility requirements.

hehehehe

I have a GPA of 3.1 and an SAT score of 1450. I didn't apply at any UC. Go to State, it isn't that bad. (Really it isn't, if you want to pay 22 grand vs. 12 grand be my guest)

UC Davis is overcrowded. Besides this year they are looking for more selective individuals. (Alot of my friends are applying there and these people have APs on their transcripts)

UCLA is the toughest to get into. Especially in your situation. Only one person in our school got accepted (and this guy was an avid and talented writer, he entered into essay competitions and won almost every single one)
