I logged onto choicefm.com, went to Music, the Listen online. Though I have the sound on (not muted) , on laptop no sound is coming out. am able to view movie trailers from videodetective.com. What am I doing wrong. Loads of suggestions please.

Try other radio sites and see if they work.. Could be just that you need to update something or the site itself..

First: some radio station websites are a bit rubbish and don't work unless you're using Internet Explorer.
Occasionally, Windows Media gets confused - the best way to fix that is to shut down your machine and then restart.
Finally, some radio stations do sometimes mess their streaming up. If it works on other stations, then drop them an email.

SHOUTcast Radio is the best site I've found so far.I believe it offers more than 10,000 stations to choose from.Give it a try.

You may need to configure Windows media player. or down load realplayer

re-install your programmes e.g. Real Player or Windows media

try 'live 365', it's a really good site...
