In a word---NO
as a life long Democrat
it has been MY view of late
that if the party is being HIJACKED
it is by the ultra-right Bush Loving rationalizers !!
It seems that because of this MAJOR "National Security" garbage that allows the administration to do EVERYTHING in secrecy has not received near the attention or the call for openness from the Democrats as is needed !!! Absolutely TOO much co operation with the lunatic for anyone's comfort !!!!

This question will no doubt be answered by Bush haters. They like to lie back and criticize others for fighting for the freedom to complain that they enjoy. The US clearly has very real enemies, but the slackers simply don't believe it. They would much rather criticize Bush for taking action than do anything themselves. Admittedly, that's much easier, but anyone impacted by the destruction of the World Trade Center thinks differently and knows that a threat is quite real.

both parties are ruined by some pretty strong extremists. it is almost unfair to call all democrats liberals and all republicans conservatives. most people have more liberal or conservative stances depending on the issue
