Conglomerates - where mainly tools to purchase other companies - the companies are not the same type, nor are the acquiring of the other corps in many cases welcomed.
So it is not D:
Investment Trust - a group of people combine there money to form a pool from the sale of shares. Then the money gathered called a fund is used to invest wide range of companies. typically this is a tool for investment and no employees are actually working for the Trust.
So it is not A
Pool - is not the correct term as a business model
Aggregate - means to combine common organized mass -
B: is the correct answer

While there could be many names for it, the answer would be "D. Conglomerate."
It's basically the concept of several businesses join forces (partnering-up) to provide the same thing. One company might be do the advertising, another might do the selling, while a third might do the customer service.
