Whenever, I have the opportunity to lay on my bed and listen intently to only the rain, and thunder and nothing else,it's very soothing. Like a natural sedative.

Yes actually.
Some people think it is totally cheesy, but I think it sooths me.
I mean just having a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and being on my laptop with some Norah Jones playing in the background is one of the best things about a Friday night if everyone is busy.

I love to go to sleep during a thunderstorm or when it's raining cats and dogs. Very soothing!

Yes, I love to listen to the rain, I even have a CD for when I miss it. It is very relaxing, unless it is a Texas thunderstorm, then its just plain scary

When it is raining outside I feel safe, warm and dry inside. It makes me feel grateful, safe, and warm. That is soothing, and I don't just like it, I love it. It's also pretty on the window when you look at the lights outside running down and intermingling irridescent colors glowing on the night window pane. Beautiful sound, beautiful appearance, beautiful peace, warmth, and safeness.
