My alcoholic wife divorced me. We had no children. I tried everything to get her to change her mind you name it i did.
She has cirrhosis diagnosed 2 years ago. We got divorced last April. She wanted to remain friends i said i couldn't if she had boyfriends around as it would hurt me too much.
I asked her to leave me alone and get on with her life, and let me get on with mine. I even had to say to her contact me again and i will go to the police.
On christmas eve she rang me saying she was ill and would i go and see her. She asked for my mobile no and would i go and see her in rehab when she goes in a fortnight. I said yes.
I never heard from her again until new years eve she text me before midnight wishing me happy new year. I text back saying remember that i love you.
NYD she text me to say she had spent most of the day ill in bed waiting to Rehab. I asked did she want me to go and see her and she said don't worry have friends now.
What is she up to do you think?

I think she knows that she is dying and you were a stable part of her life and she needs that now. Does she love you ?? Has she said ??You know her better then anyone else. Why don't you ask her just what's on her mind. You sure don't need to keep being a doormat. Is she on drugs also ?? Really as I reread your letter I see her as wanting her friends, whoever that is, and you also, just in case. My question is "Why do men want to hang on to this kind of woman ?? Is it because you think so little of yourself???

She's just making sure that you are still alone. Once you start dating again she will play the victim and try to string you along. Is her cirrhosis serious? Maybe you can be there for her when she needs you. You have to be careful though not to get too involved otherwise you'll end up hurt.
