You have to update TomTom from time to time. Ours, for example, takes us through a field when we hit the new section of the A1 at Ferrybridge, but it picks it up again when it rehits the older section either side.

Sat Nav is fine but you have to have a small element of intelligence not to let it get the better of you (I don't mean you, I mean the people who say TomToms are rubbish!)

Because tom tom is rubbish. I use telnav. No extra maps needed and so far, 100% accuracy both here and in Europe.
