Please, can someone who actually knows what their talking about answer this question on Body language?

Please.

Will you give me big, easy signs on attraction and non-attraction, for highschool girls.

This is not a lame question, there is a girl I talk to , and I don't know what she is saying. She is really shy.

Any help on what to look for?

ps. she usually folds her hands in a light fist under her chin when I talk to her, while standing. ?

haha, yea I know, I am not ready for a relationship yet, so I won't ask that,

I don't really see her alot, I've tried to set up movies with her and her best friend, but that never works, I'm still trying.

The easiest way to find out if someone likes you is to either ask them or make the first move.

80% of communication is through body langauge. Good posture shows that you are confident, know how to carry yourself (both physically and emotionally). There's lots of stereotypes to do with posture and body language: crouching and you seem lazy, let your jaw hang loose and you appear simple or plain stupid and if you sit with your feet pointing towards each other, you're shy. Also, humans are amazingly good at picking up body language. We immediately know if a comment we made was well received by the subtle cues in the face of the other person. So it is very important!

The girl is shielding her body so she's somewhat defensive. But not arms crossed which would be very defensive. Does she make frequent eye contact? That could contradict the body posture. Keep walking when you speak to her and she may find she can relax and resume nomral body movement. Avoid prolonged eye contact at first. Be comfortable with silences - this is time to reflect on what's been said. Anything else?

FYI: If she had her hands under her chin while sitting, I'd say she's paying attention but as you said she does this while standing..then I maintain that this is a mildly defensive posture.

I went to grad school and studied nonverbal communication. Her hands under her chin is a good sign, shows she is interested in what you have to say. Especially if she leans in toward you - a good nonverbal sign that she cares. Other signs to look for are eye contact, you say she is shy but if she looks at you while you talk that shows interest. Twirling her hair, looking around and having hands on hips shows she is less interested. From a shy girl, a smile is also a great sign. If she is expressive around you that shows she is willing to open herself up to you rather than shy away.

she's obviously listening to you. If she's making eye contact than she likes what you have to say and is concerned.

Girls pat a guy on the shoulder when laughing, talking or ready to leave, is a good sign she likes you.

When the conversation is over, and she walks away, does she look back to look at you. If she does, than she most definitely likes you a lot!!

ok, i'll tell you everything i know-from my heart, because i know how frusterating it is when people don't answer your question. this one's easy to answer because i am a girl, so i'm the expert! ok, here's some signs to look for...

-eye contact, like she may stare at you a lot then look away when you look at her
-she might smile a lot when you are near her
-she will probably twist her hair around her finger in your direction sometimes
-if she crosses her legs they will be pointed your way
-if her head is in her hands or resting on the side of her face or head, the only thing that that could possibly mean is that she is daydreaming about her crush...that's always what it is.
-if she is daydreaming about her crush when you are near her you must be her crush
-most shy girls will try to follow their crush in the hall, hold the door for them, copy what they are doing, and absolutely always will try desperately to sit next to them...but not in class, that would be to obvious.
-if she is not interested most likely she will either not show any of these signs and she will feel completely comfortable around you

The one you mention is definitely a sign of interest.

Her touching her hair is a sign of flirting. Curling her hair even more.

Her staring at you and looking at you for long periods of time is a sign of interest.

Her looking away when you talk to her is a sign she is not interested.

Her avoiding straight eye contact is a sign she is not interested.

Any playful attitude with her body shows that she is relaxed and comfortable with you.

It sounds like you should just ask her if she's in to you! Communication is soooo important!
Does she stand like that when she talks to other people(guys)?
How long have you known her? 'Cuz, if she's shy then would she be talking to you if she liked you?
She might be tring to do a "I'm smart and beautiful" stance there.
Touch is a HUGE attraction sign.
So, if you like her you should lighty/casualy brush her arm the next time you talk. In kind of a non-purpose way. Let her know your into her.

That means shes intrested in what your saying. See if shes looking directly at you as you talk. Do little things distract her attention. Does she play with her hands or her hair alot around you when shes nervous. I THINK SHE LIKES YOU! I THINK SHE LIKES YOU! ask her to a movie.

The hand under the chin usually indicates attentiveness and that she cares about what you are saying.
