Try a bit of Cruel Intentions. It is romance but its a bit darker than that and it's not a chick flick. The jokes made in this movie are funny. This film is extremely enjoyable.

last movie I rented was my super ex girlfriend which got really really bad reviews but I thought it was so sweet and funny. worth watching :D
