I travel often to Amsterdam. More than thirty times now.

On business, the best hotel value is the Victoria Hotel. You can get a deal for 140 euros per night.

For fun, the best value for money is the Cordial Hotel. I'd call it a three-star. It's clean and very well located, but it's not fancy. Simple breakfast is included. You can usually get it for 50 and 100 euros.

I always use www.hotels.nl to book in Amsterdam.

Last night when I woke up I looked at my baby's play pen that he sleeps in at night and he wasn't in there. I got up right away and looked around to see where he was and I found him under my bed! He is well protected in his play pen, it is at least 4 feet high and I don't live with anybody. There is no where he could have fallen out of the play pen, let alone get under my bed. Carmelo is only 3 months old and he doesn't even roll over yet. I'm really nervous because I dont know how that would have happened. It scared me so much that I went to my boyfriend's house. Can anybody try to explain to me how that can happen?

In low season you might be lucky to find something for that rate. In high-season almost impossible. there is a website though that can give you good rates, which I always used while I lived there. The nice thing is you can book on line and pay at the hotel. Also you book per room and not per person and a lot of times breakfast is included.
You didn't add a date in your question so browse it yourself.
The website is hosted by bookit a dutch tour operator, with great service.

Try these guys ... you can work out whether it's better to book at short notie and get a special [ but risk availability ] or in advance. They have a search tool to refine your budgets according to the star rating and cost - watch out for free inclusion on the last minute offers - they often add up to quite a bonus . Good luck:

You won't get 4 stars for EUR100/night. Getting close will be the Tulip Inn at the Spuistraat. Is 3 stars for around EUR100.

yeah that's not gonna happen. not even if you go during the winter. If you want a classy, absolutely gorgeous hotel in the middle of everything with the most friendly and helpful staff i've ever seen, i always stay at NH Barbizon Palace (4x so far and planning a trip this spring), it's the best hotel in the city, in my opinion, and it right across from Centraal station
