I called the girl at the window a stupid fat B**ch, because she forgot to put BBq sauce in my nuggets. They told me that they now record all audio and video at the drive thru and that they are going to turn me in for verbal abuse. Can they legally do this?

Yes, they can, but it might not be enforceable since you weren't notified of it first. The whole Linda Tripp/Lewinsky thing taught us that. However, you are basically saying that it was OK for you to do something horrible and awful because someone made a mistake. That's pretty awful, and I'd go get some anger management training.

I completely understand your annoyance at not getting your sauce. I treat myself to some nuggets once a month and have to have hot mustard and bbq sauce. They do occassionally forget to put it in the bag. The verbal abuse was completely unnecessary. Just because someone works at McDonalds does not mean they are stupid. They should be given an award for putting up with d***heads like you. Just ask politely and you will get your sauce.

The last time I worked for McDonalds was in 92 and they weren't doing that back then. It's possible that they are doing that now or someone could be trying to scare you. If you heard this from a store manager or someone with authority in charge of the resturant that day then I would seek advice from a lawyer. There are lawyers that will give free legal consultation. It's called "Common Ground " here in Michigan not sure if you have that in your area but I would check into it.

I highly doubt that! I've worked @ taco bell for several years and we haven't heard of this technology even close to be coming out. When the accepting credit cards came out, all the main fast foods were upgraded. Just try to calm down about the situation and remember that we aren't always going to be able to get the orders out speedily and accurately as we should. It does suck I know but time Is patience and I'm sure you've made a mistake or two In your time

If they do got the audio and video , yes they can turn you in for verbal abuse. even if they forgot to put your bbq sauce, does not give you the right to call her that. everyone makes mistakes and forgets somethings, no one is perfect and i bet you forget somethings to.

Legally, yes they can. Are you sure you're not the stupid fat one who can't live without bbq sauce? Are you one of those people who have it like all over your clothes living in a little trailer with you belly hanging out, drinking beer? lol

Well for one thing you did act like an idiot. I assume you were probably drunk or you are just plain rude. If anything you owe her an apology for your inconsiderate behaviour.
But aside from that I have heard of this being done and I have known of an individual that was banned from arbys forever because of the same thing you did.
Try to keep in mind that most fast food workers only get minimum wage and are very overworked dealing with all the customers orders they have to get right.

I really doubt it, unless you threaten someone. But who knows anymore with how sue happy this world is. Even when I answer questions on this website, I am very careful because who knows what someone might try and pull. But I have to ask......was she rude about it, or did she honestly forget the BBQ sauce?

I hope you are making this up for Sh*ts and Giggles!!
If you are not, then what would make you say such a terrible thing?

They hardly get paid enough to take that kind of treatment from customers.

Did you ever think she simply made a mistake?

Maybe if you reaped some consequences from your childish behavior, then maybe you'll be a little more mature next time.
