It's prescription and it's called Benzamycin. It works really well, except you break out the first week. But since then, I only get a few zits here and there... I swear by it.

I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer better then fifteen. Often, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Here are some of the previous comments I got from those who voted it as the best answer,

Choose a diet low in greasy foods. Exfoliate your skin with St. Ives apricot scrub. Do this twice a month. It really digs deep down in your pores and gets all the gunk out which can cause pimples. After that, rinse off and follow up with witch hazel. It's inexpensive and a great natural astringent. Apply witch hazel every morning and every night with cotton balls or pads. You may need to see a dermatologist or maybe just your regular doc can help you. He may do an allergy test. Hands are constantly picking up germs from all over, so keep your hands off your face throughout the day. I've heard accutane can really dry out your skin, but that was a long time ago. Perhaps they've changed the formula.

First of all, have you gone to the dermatologist? If not, get there asap! He/she knows everything about skin and will be able to tell you what is best for yours.

I can't really tell you what to do for YOUR skin but I used to have really bad acne and now I don't, I rarely will have a break out of one or two.

My routine includes washing my face with Clearasil morning wash when i shower in the morning and then wash it again before bed at night. I follow the wash with the same brand of toner and the Proactiv repairing lotion afterwards.

The only time my face stays this clear is when I go tanning at a salon because it is the only thing that keeps my skin dry enough.

Acne will fade through the years but I have found that Quinoderm cream really works and it's the only cream with Benzoyl Peroxide in it that's available over the counter. It doesn't completely get rid of your acne but it reduces it a lot and isn't really expensive either. Anything with Benzoyl Peroxide in it works..
Also, don't use too much make-up to cover it or it will just end up worse!

Good luck!

1.Drink a lot of water
2. Use a good facial care system ( i recommend Arbonne's Intelligence system)
3. Don't put your hands or phone on your face.
4. Stay away from greasy foods

Most important is to drink lotsa water. Your body cleanses itself one way or the other. If it can't flush it through your kidneys, because there's not enough fluid, then it will come out through your skin.
If you hate water..try adding lemon or lime. The more you drink it, the more you'll naturally crave it.

My daughter recently switched from proactive to "Intelligence" . Her face cleared up in 4 days and is not dried out looking. I got her the set for Christmas.

You should see a dermatologist. Your acne could be caused by a hormonal imbalance. They can prescribe you with something that can help. You should also change your eating habits such as cutting out greasy foods and such and drinking more water. You should also clean your sheets more and if you wear makeup your brushes or throw away sponges. Washing your hair more will help, if you wear your hair down and are in your face. Try keeping things out of your face. Hope that helps!!

Good luck!!!!

Acne is bacteria. It comes from inside your body. What you smear in your skin isn't goinch to change what comes out of your skin. You need to look at your diet, not a makeup counter. Try reducing your meats, oils, and grains and eating more beans, fruits and vegetables. Use a lot of garlic and/or honey, too, as they are both natural antibiotics. Good luck! ♥

be sure to get enough sleep. stress is also a major factor- try to keep it to a minimum or figure out a way to manage your daily schedule without being too worried/ anxious. finally, eat right (i.e. HEALTHY!!) maybe some foods (chocolate, nuts, etc, whatever..) cause pimples. also, if your face is too oily wash it twice a day. there are good cremes out there (tazorac, differin, etc) that help prevent future break outs. differin is excellent btw, if you haven't tried it give it a try. even though some medications don't work on some people, this one usually does. just don't expect miracles. hope this helped!!!

yes, this will sound a little weird, but i use a mild or light cleanser, and hand sanitizer. i figured, since acne is caused by bacteria, and hand sanitizer is made to kill bacteria, and it has moisturizing vitamins it makes your face soft, and actually cleared my acne very well. however, im not sure about what your dermatologist would say about it. i usually only use hand sanatizer when acne is very bad for me, and its usually gone in a day or 2! good luck!
