was just wondering, would marksmanship hunters or elemental shamans be doing more damage in the high levels like 40-60. also... at level 20, were do night elfs do quests at usually? in the night elf area

Night Elves would move from Auberdine to Ashenvale, just to the south. At least as the standard progression goes.
I do not have any accurate data for your other question, but I would guess a shaman would. They are far more durable than a hunter, even though the hunter has a pet. Greater durability means more time to dish out damage, which equals more damage at some point. This is all my speculation though.

I believe I've answered this before, but here it goes.
If you are talking PvP I've had my *** handed to me by many a hunter, I couldn't tell ya with a shaman. Never dueled one.
If you are talking raid-wise, most guilds use shamans as debuff, decurse, healing.
IMO if you want to be in the damage side for PvP and raids, go hunter.

It all depends on what u use ur talent points on. and what training/spells u have.
