Here and there, I've heard about neat little clubs people can join like Tree Climbers Club, Stamp Collectors Club, etc. Where can I find a directory of nice organizations in USA that people who want to get out of the house more can join?

1. You need to narrow it down a lot, because you won't find anything as vast as what you suggest. You either do that by location (state or city) and/or by pastime (mountain climbing, flower arranging etc.). Once you have made the definition thern you can use your preferred search engine to look.

2. Ok let me see if this works .... I am going to input "cycling club Ohio" into www.dogpile.com and see what happens ....
A good result!! Look at what is on the first page of 20 links
2. Dayton Cycling Club
4. Ohio University Cycling Team
5. Stark County Bicycle Club (Ohio)
6. Orrville Cycling Club
8. Ohio Bicycle Clubs
10. Locating a Ohio Bike Club
13. Case Cycling Club Homepage
14. Louisville Bicycle Club - Cycling Links
15. The Major Taylor Cycling Club - Columbus, Ohio, USA - Est 1979
17. OHIO’S BICYCLE CLUBS
18. The Westerville Bicycle Club
19. Road Soldiers Cycling Club - Scooter & Wheelchair Owner's Group
There were even more on the subsequent pages, but I hope you get the point. Now I think you should see the difficulty of having one database for every pastime in every state!
