They all require electricity if you want to be able to light the fire. It is a small electric spark that lights the gas. But you can use a match in power outages.

One with a pilot light. Decades ago, every gas stove had a pilot light. Even more decades ago, the oven was lit each time with a match, no pilot.

Most new ones have an electrically ignited oven and burners. That is more efficient than a pilot and it is safer and runs cooler in the summer.

I had a gas furnace built around 1950 that could be switched on with a mechanical switch. That bypassed the normal, electrical switch for use during a power failure. Those are really a thing of the past.

Hi, your best bet would be to look for a used one. Yes pretty much all gas stove (tops) can be lit with a match when the power is off, but the ovens often have what is called a glow plug that works with electricity. It is a thermostat, and is on all the time that the oven is running. Seems dumb to me to have to use electricity to run your gas oven. I have an old gas stove that I have used for years,,,I don't even have regular electricity, and the stove doesn't have a pilot light, only use matches, and it works great! So look for a used gas stove, without a glow plug.

they no longer make those---those are the one's with the little blue "pilot light" on all the time in the middle of the stove----can be very dangerous.

You might find a used one somewhere, in a tear out or...
Advertise in the "Wanted" section of your newspaper---"pilot-light stove, non igniter"
And, btw, you can STILL use your gas stove during a black-out----turn the gas burner on and light it with a match---watch out tho, I"m not responsible if you blow your house up or burn your face!

My neighbours only have been given one. Sorry, do not undergo in ideas the make, even if that's kind new and runs on a battery for the ignition, or a minimum of it may run on a battery if the popular potential is out. not too sparkling on info. we are in a rural section and that they needed to have the potential to prepare dinner on the propane for the time of potential outages. you could inspect places that sell "off-grid" home equipment.
