Ohio St shouldn't be rank #1. Without Troy Smith, OSU rank #14. I bet UNLV or CSU wipe OSU out.

Agreed - Next year OSU without Troy Smith will be like Texas was this year without Vince Young, they were barely a blip on the radar.

They may start out high on the polls simply cuz they got to the Championship game but they'll fall like a rock.

"JUST LIKE TEXAS" clap-clap clap-clap-clap

Fight on!

Uhhh Austin,

That must be some goooooood stuff you're smokin' there.

Look, no one can deny that USC and LSU are good football teams, but ranking fall where they may at this critical point of the season. It's the teams responsibility to control their destiny when they are put in the position to do so.

USC's was probably the biggest stunner when they lost to UCLA (their second loss)

LSU lost to an undefeated Gators team, but then lost again.

I can see your argument about how OSU would be without Troy Smith, but look at how Oklahoma did without their QB??

A few years ago many didn't give OSU a chance against the highly touted, big guns of Miami. Look what happend.

Hardly anyone is giving Florida a chance here....there's still a few days left to get rid of overconfidence.

But like I said before.....That must be some goooooood stuff you're smokin' there.

HOw should they not be ranked # 1, they beat every1 on their shedule, including 2 nimber 1's and UNLV or CSU would never bbeat Ohio Stae, even w/o TRoy SMith. AND what is the purpsoe of sdaying they be 14th without Troy SMIth becuse they do have Tryo SMIth and USC is sad, sure they beat MIChigan by a bigger margain but they lost 2 games against unranked teams and OSU is undefeated, LSU would get clobbered by Ohio State noob

Carroll said USC didn't earn it. Obviously LSU and USC did not earn the right under the system in place. It would be fun to have a playoff like the NFL in which the best team at the end of the season wins but that is not the way CFB works. Ohio State earned it under this system by winning all their games and being consistent. If they go ahead and beat Florida they deserve #1. It is too bad a playoff is not happening though.

I'm an LSU fan but we didn't deserve to be in the national championship game, nor did USC. I think both are good enough to play in the game but both lost 2 games.

Funny how someone can say how LSU would get clobbered by Ohio State. Based on what? I don't think any non-SEC team outside of USC could hang with LSU, and that's been proven thus far.

hi, Hephasto M FYI MT is a FBS group purely like LSU. they are in the SunBelt convention. I agree that LSU has had a extra staggering reusme as much as now. I purely wish that there are purely 2 undefeated communities on the top of this 12 months going into the bowls. If LSU gets to the Championship sport they might desire to be #a million. they might have had to triumph over Florida two times to do it.

who cares about the without troy smith discussion, how good is SC without Booty, or LSU without Russel? OSU hasnt lost a game, LSU and USC lost twice, SC to two unranked teams. Please. Dont bother, Ohio State will beat florida by 14 points a team that beat LSU. Dont get so worked up, the best team is going to win.

What do you remember what happened between LSU and Florida...no Florida is the best in the SEC this year....I am an Auburn Alumni and hate Florida and can't stand LSU...but I always cheer for the conference in Bowl games....

USC is always going to over-ranked in their conference...they play 3 good teams all year....then all they have to do is put everything in the Bowl game to come out a winner....try making them play 8 hard games and teams with only 3 cupcakes instead of playing 3 hard games with 8 cupcakes...

Without Troy Smith, OSU #14. Okay, but they do have Troy Smith.

OSU is undefeated. they deserve to be #1 until they lose.

i dont think that they could beat LSU, though.

USC has 2 losses.

UF, not as good as LSU, UF has been lucky this year. should have lost to south carolina , just to name one team. UF is overated, but their speed and great athletes, always have a chance to beat anyone.

should be a great game next monday night.
