This is a very tough question, if you don't, it's like leaving the Dad out of a huge decision and change in his daughters life, but then again, your Mom did take care of it. I think if it is taken care of then leave it at that, and I think your Mom did the right thing. Good for her. Regardless of what happens, she needs to know that having sex is not a good thing at her age, and being in high school, and the morning after pill is not always a way out, your Mom should also get her on birth control, and I think it's up to your sister whether she wants to tell the Dad or not, it's what she is comfortable with. Good luck!

It is not good for her to keep it from your dad, but at least she told your mother, which is good. If she ends up pregnant, then she should definitely tell him as soon as possible. As far as telling him right now, she can probably use her own judgment but if your mom knows, then it is sort of her responsibility to tell your dad also.

I don't know your Dad so I can't say she should definitely tell him, but on the other hand Dad's involvement may be the very thing that will keep her from being so careless again.

Well i dont think that she should have to tell your dad. It was a one time thing and as long as she wont get pregnant i dont think that it is nessacary to tell, ecspecially if he is going to flip out. If she does this again then i think that you guys should tell him about both times.

Sounds like your mom's call. She knows her husband the best, and knows how he'll react. If it were my husband, yes, I WOULD tell him, because we do not hide anything from each other, but I also know he does NOT lose his temper in a horrible way---he is rational.

Not if he is going to flip out. As long as your mom knows, it's okay. But if she does it again, he should know.
