I had to restpre my computer back to factory mode. Now I seem to have lost all my updates to microsoft word. I did download all the microsoft updates, but some of the things I use to have on word are no longer there.

If you do the Microsoft Update instead of Windows Update, you are also getting for all Microsoft applications, including Word.

When you say that some of the things you use are no longer there, I am not sure where you are going with this. If you mean customized templates and toolbars, yes - they were destroyed when you restored to factory. Other than that, I am not aware of any 'features' that were removed through various updates.

If you want to post a comment on the specifics, maybe we can help you more.

Start
Settings
Control Panel
Automatic Updates

That will set your PC to update. To repair Word, open a Word document, click Help. You will see an option to "Detect and Repair." Locate your installation CD and click that option.
