We always used vinegar in science class. I know it works like a charm for copper pennies. Leave them in it overnight and VIOLA!

If you don't really care for how much the coin is worth, or if it's for some jewellery or deco purposes, then you can adopt any of the above cleaning methods suggested.

Else, don't clean your coins.

rubbing alcohol like the kind you use for pierced ears and you take the coin and dip it in and leave it for an hour i know from expierience:-D

use oxy action max if u live on NZ then put ur coins in it

Soak them overnight in coca cola and then think about what that does to your stomach !
