If I drop food on the floor, I would pick it up and eat it. I have a ten second rule on that. But unfortunately if anything drops on the floor my dogs get it within the first milasecond it touched the floor. They are amazingly fast!!

depends what it is and how long it was there. If only a second or two and its not gooey or sticky (in other words, easy things for stuff on the floor to stick to), then I pick it up blow on it 3 times, and then eat it. But if it has been on the floor longer than a few seconds or if it is gooey or sticky, then I pick it up and throw it out.

There's no '5 second rule' becuz the germs that stick to food don't need more than 2 seconds to grab onto the piece u drop.
BUT YES! If I'm certain I won't be eating something that'll make me sick, I do eat the food I dropped.

Depends on the floor, but around my house the 10 second rule generally applies.

No!

They tested the mythic 5 second rule on the "Myth Busters" show and found (as I expected) that it was utter rubbish. If you drop food on the floor DO NOT EAT IT, throw it away!

No way i couldn't eat it unless it was a life or death situation.

all the fluff or bits of hairs and dirt sticking onto the food is enough to make me feel sick and would probably bring up the rest of the food i had eaten. yucky.

but if i dropped food, like dry foods on to my bed sheets or lap then i could eat that because i know it is clean.

How about you what would you do??

Depends on how clean the floor is and what kind of food it is. If it's a chip, yes I eat it. Part of a sandwich, sure. A bowl of spaghetti - no.

Depends on whose floor it is/where I am, and how badly I wanted the food in the first place.
