OLIVE OIL!!

I know it sounds gross, but it is one of the best things to use cause it does not have a strong smell, place only a little bit on the scalp and get a small tooth comb, and the dandruff will come right up. Do it every other day and it will go away. Plus, olive oil has great properties in it, so its safe for babies. Im using it on my 2 month old son now for the same problem.

My little girl had it until she was 9 months.

Bby oil is the best treatment. Frequent baths and massage the oil in - don't scrub!

Unless it is a medical though, don't worry too much about it - it probably bothers you more than them. Most kids shed the cradle crap within the first few months - usually by 6 months it is mostly gone.

Good Luck.

Bag Balm works on cradle cap, diaper rashes, chapped lips, lots of things like that. And it very mild. Looks gross because it was made for cow udders but I used it on all of my kids ailment. It was introduced to me when I was young on a burn I had and cut the healing time in half. It even cheaper than baby oil. Can buy in the first aid isle.

May sound like a very weird thing, but I successfully beat cradle cap with original olive oil......you rub it in the baby's hair, let it sit for a minute or two, and gently brush it out......

Get a baby brush and when washing the hair gently massage the scalp with the brush Then rinse off the scalp. Or if you can find one, one of those soft bristle sponge things work great.

my son had this problem... I put some virgin olive oil on his scalp (about an hour or two before his bath) and gently worked a comb thru it before rinsing it in the tub, it may take more than one treatment, and he did smell like salad dressing until after the bath hehe.

My sisters mother in law says to use olive oil. My sister tried it and it worked! Make sure you get a fine tooth comb.

Try using a comb instead of a brush. Just don't attempt to "pick" it off, and watch the soft spots!
