The gown is 100% raw silk, so its hue is a bit lighter than a traditional navy blue due to the fabric's 'hand'.

I wouldn't!... instead of mixing black with a navy gown, try opting for a great deep silver or even chocolate brown instead..... ( blue & brown actually do match great....i love baby blue and brown together)

i just think black and navy look kinda tacky!

I say go for it! You are really the only one who is going to notice! If you look stellar in the gown and have great jewelry, no one will care what your shoes and clutch look like!

You can, but the shoes and clutch must be ultra dressy. I would suggest silver strappy sandals and mathing clutch over black.

of course!! never worry to much about the color of your outfit and the color of your shoes and purse you dont want them to match because they need to add interest and be different!
