We actually have a 3.4L camaro race car that runs in SCCA, and is probably the toughest car on the west coast in its' class, and has been the West Coast Runoff champ three times. Go and look at the weight of the Camry and you will find it weighs in about 40 pounds lighter than a camaro, but the weight/power ratio is far better in the camaro, and therefore will lap the camry in a 30 road race.

I would say it depends on the race, 1/4 mile the camaro, endurance, like a 200 lap race on a 1.5 mile track, probably the camry, but only because of gas mileage...

All other factors being equal (ie, drivers, tires, etc), the Camaro would have the advantage in pretty much any type of motorsports competition. And while it may not be a "blow out," it probably wouldn't exactly be close either.

In each and every form of Motorsport, a motor vehicle piloted by using a motive force or rider would be diverse from each and every different motor vehicle they're racing. production, engine chassis braking and a multitude of alternative settings, layout, and in all probability different factors make a contribution to those differences. each and every each and every now and then better than one pilot races for the same team, and somewhat a number of the time, there are dissimilar communities that would have in yet differently designed automobiles from one yet another. 2 autos would have the same good velocity, which isn't unusual in racing, yet 2 autos infrequently have very comparable dealing with traits until they're made the two made by using the same team, or maybe then they'd be particularly diverse through fact of diverse settings for each individual motive force. 2 autos would have the same good velocity, yet that on my own will in no way dictate their lap instances. Lap instances, that's noted as %., selection for many motives alongside with: point of existence left in tires, pit end attitude that the guy is on, the persons ability, and all of those issues make autos with good velocity equivalent win as against the different. As for passing, if the guy following is close, and the guy in front makes a mistake, the guy in the back of will see a niche and favorable situation to pass cleanly. different motives for a vehicle to get next to the different and pass is noted as getting a run on somebody. To get a run, the guy in the back of will oftentimes take the corner in the previous the corner they plan to pass going into in yet differently. they're going to make a much broader front for greater go out velocity to be going swifter going into the subsequent corner, and somewhat a number of the time, as quickly as they get out of the corner swifter, they're going to persist with the vehicle in front good in the previous they pull over to pass the vehicle very heavily to lessen air resistance through vehicle in front making a "wake" and breaking the wind. this could make the vehicle in the back of flow particularly swifter and be waiting to pass going right into a corner.

Depends...Is the Toyota stock ? Or does it have a little "secret?"...Like N.0 ? I've heard there's 4 bangers in Japanese cars that will blow away an American V8.
