I did. We moved a lot so I always felt like the 'new kid'. It was pretty rotten.

yes, the other kids had everything, my parents saw fit not to spoil us material wise ( which is fine ) I always felt I had a better imagination.

I feel this pain for my son, he is autistic and only 3 and even though it is very widely excepted it still frightens me, I think he already knows he's different, hes definatley smarter than most his peers

Yes, because I always read books, and wanted to talk about world events and stuff like that, and they only wanted to hang out and ride bikes and play games, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I liked to do "kid stuff" too, but always felt I was on a higher level than most......not saying that in an arrogant way, it's just that no one understood my need for mature conversation.......

A little bit, but the only reason I can really think of is that I just had a lot more friends that were boys than girls. I've never gotten along with other girls very easily. You could call me a tomboy I suppose :)

Im still a kid and yes i do. probably cuase I like different stuff than them. Plus I dont want to be like everyone else so Im not

Yes. I think all kids feel that angst. I wish I could go back to that little girl and tell her she'll turn out okay.

yeah, because I did not think of myself superior or anything but another person, unless I proved myself to myself.The only way to be different was to think different. Most people are introspective and do not realise that the universe doesnt revolve around them

i was noticibly lighter skinned than the other kids, 90% of the kids i grew up with were from the caribbean.
