I am 57 years old. I have seen many radical changes in my lifetime and was fortunate enough to have lived through the times of freedom and remember what they were like.

I was lucky enough to be a teen-ager during the era of peace and love when a dose of anti-biotics could cure whatever bugs your lover had. That and the "pill" (the newest thing back then) made life a lot of fun.

I watched a Lunar rocket take man to the Moon and my first job was feeding punch cards into a massive computer. I am still in awe and can't wait to see what happens next.

I could go on forever, but you get the picture.

I grew up in the 70s and was a teen in the 80s. I would not want to be a kid today because they are so sheltered and connected to everyone by technology. It was great being able to get lost in some wooded area with a bunch of pals and pretend we were in a jungle somewhere exploring! Also, adults were allowed to actually hit children, didn't even matter if it was your own kid or not, and that taught us respect and boundaries. Something I don't see a lot of in today's kids!

Except for the war, the 60s were the best times to grow up. Motorcycles were dangerous and sex was safe. I would hate to be a teen+ today.

I love when I was raised, because we weren't all sheltered, but we were still pretty innocent. I watched horror movies as a little kid, but I didn't have sex until 16, and I got to experience great music in the early 90's!

I would rather grow up when I did......people were happier, music was BY FAR better and there was a distinct lack of terrorism....the only downside of course is that growing up now would make me younger!

I think this is one of the hardest times to raise kids. Can't speak for the kids but as for me, I'd rather have been raised when I was, or even twenty years earlier. Times were more naive and (it appears) innocent.
