Whenever I paint, they always end up very spiritual looking, unplanned tho. I just go w/the flow and wonder where these idea's come from??
Do you ever feel like your being guided in some way?

Most people have some spiritual streak or longing. Sometimes it's expressed, most times not. Does inspiration coming from within, without?
Being 'guided' suggests what, angels, spirit guides, 'invisible friends'? These are extremely deep questions, eh?
Who knows? Go with the flow; it might lead you to your 'source'!

Good luck!

I, as well as most Artists draw inspiration, from a muse or whatever they define as the energy or drive for what they create.

I won't insult you by asking what you mean by spiritual, but in context, it need not be thought of in a religious sense.

My personal "Muse" base has expanded by one. The original is female, yet has never revealed her name. If you ever noted lyrics in the play CATS, you'd get it. My other muse, also female, but very real, is "Aldara" (Greek for Winged Gift)

Both and each, play important roles in my motivations and inspirations, and when I'm not creating, I'm often be nudged by one or the other.

As far as painting is concerened, no. But I don't feel like paint is my medium and I don't do it often, so that may be why.
But whenever I pick up my camera, I feel something simular.
It's not so much spiritual than it is that it just feels 'right'.
Hope that makes some kind of sense...

my sister is the painter in the family. her work is very interesting and unique. she's left handed and has a lot of virgo (mercury) and moon energy, undoubetdly a help. her process is that she waits until something "arises from the depths" sub-conscious, collective unconscious?, and "demands" to be put on canvas. she's fortunate, of course to have such access, but it has come "with a price" as many real artists have perhaps experienced? i do more physical art--martial arts, etc, but at times i've experienced certain moments when "i'm" not doing it, it's just "happening". very uplifting ;-)

I strongly believe that i have a muse when i draw and paint. Her name is Rebecca and i ask her for guidance and inspiration. I also have to be in the right frame of mind or she doent come out in my work. YOu may try thinking of your muse and asking its name. Then you can ask for your own help and inspiration. Really does work.

my mom used to paint when we lived in our old house. she would always paint a victorian woman. she said she didn't know why but she felt as if there was a victorian presence in that house and she would always see that woman.
