My Mom was is in an Assisted Living Facility-4 DAYS later she fell & broke her arm. When she came home after 4 weeks there were my brother (doctor), Aunt and me - the nasty lawyer.
It was obvious THEN that she could not get in and out of her existing bed. Head of Facility told me they would give her an inexpensive headboard, mattress thing and special frame for mattress.
Head told me to my face that it was no problem to leave it there. I wanted it there because it's mere presence was a comfort to her.I have it's'twin'-which my son is now using. That one was my Dad's.
These are VERY expensive beds-not that that really matters. I had a patrolman come out and made a report immediately.Solid cherry-the only things I can pick up are the side rails and the slats.
OH, and at one point the current director said "If Patti doesn't get this out by Friday-I'm throwing it away."Two weeks prior she had offered my mother $500. for it.
Do I charge for Grand Larceny or take to Small Claims Court?

It seems to me that you have a case. Talk to a lawyer about this he/she would be able to tell you what the best thing to do is. Many lawyers will do a first consultation at no charge.
