I'm 23 and I use mostly Lancome products and when I put it on in the morning, it looks great! First I apply some moisterizer and eye cream, then concealer, a touch of foundation, then powder. Then I do the blush, eye shadow, liner, mascara and lipstick/gloss. I also make sure to do the whole "cover your make-up with a layer of powerder thing", to keep it locked in. This helps a bit, but I feel like by the end of my work-day, I look different.

My skin is a bit oily or I should say, oily/combination, and I use oil-free face make-up, but it just doesn't stay fresh all day. I've even tried to take my compact with me in my purse, for touch-ups, and it helps a bit, but it doesn't solve my problem.

I've heard of some make-up sprays that you put on after all of your make-up, that keeps it on, but I'm sure most women don't use that, and their make-up looks fresh all the time.

Any suggestions ladies??

I've had my make-up done a few times at the Lancome counter, and they somehow make it stay on allll day, perfectly. I wanna know what it is that they're doing, that I'm not!!!

My makeup looks the same throughout the day whenever I use a moisturizing face base. It feels just like moisturizer only you put it on just before putting on your foundation. It gives your skin a more even texture and helps the foundation adhere much better. I'm not sure whether Lancome has one but Bobbi Brown and MAC have good ones.

I have the same problem! I hate oily skin. I've heard of that spray you're talking about too. I've never tried it because they're expensive.

Are you using a make-up that is meant to say on? I use Merle Norman Luxiva lasting foundation and this make-up stays put all day! Look for a make-up that is meant to stay on.

If that's not what you really want, look for a primer to put on after your moisturizer. They usually keep the oiliness down.

Plus, if your skin becomes extremely oily you may not be using enough moisturizer. When your skin lacks moisture, it produces oil so make sure that your skin is properly moisturized. And since you go to the Lancome counters, ask them what they'd recommend. If they do great with your make-up have them show you exactly what they're doing to your skin and what products they're using.

Use minimal makeup. Natural is better. A good skin cleansing, followed by a light foundation. Use a little mascar and lipstick. Keep it simple. You do not need blushes, eye shadows, liners etc. They do not look natural and they tend to run.

Actually make-up sprays are really good and I would imagine a lot of women use that! Remember, a lot of ladies probably do touch up in the day.

Apparently it's supposed to be really good, though I've never used it myself.
Or go for another make-over in the department store and jokingly ask how they do it, if it involves selling one of their products, they are likely to let you into the secret.

i have the same problem and i have used oil blotting sheets and also an oil absorbing powder (neutrogena) to put on after everything else. the sheets are awesome but you have to remember to use them, and the powder works well for a few hours but needs to be re-applied. i hope you find the answer because i know how much that sucks, it happens to me every day of my life. haha

MAC makeup is the only makeup I have found that lasts all day. Just a couple powder touches at lunch time and i look good all day.

I USE BEAUTY BLOTTERS ON MY FACE AS NEEDED, MID DAY OR AFTER WORK IF I'M GOING OUT SOMEPLACE. JUST PUT ON YOUR FACE AND BLOT THE EXCESS OIL FROM YOUR SKIN. WORKS GREAT FOR ME. HOPE THIS HELPS. YOU CAN ALSO GO BACK TO THE LANCOME COUNTER AND ASK THEM WHY IT WORKS FOR THEM BUT NOT YOU.

after I went to varsity for that we use to apply concealer less than the eyeshadow to make it very last more. it really does artwork I try this for my own makeup. you should also oil elimination outfits under no circumstances reapply your make up on right of previous make up.

I know you are mostly a Lancôme girl but you should try one (or a few of these products):

You should also not apply moisturizer on the part on your face that is oily.

Good luck!!!!
