I believe that everyone is prejudice or has preferences. It may not be racial (but it could be). I like turkey, you may like chicken or tuna. You are prejudice to what you like or you have a preference.

I wouldn't say everyone, but 99% of the world.
I'll admit it... and it's not just racism, it's a lot of different bigotries....
My mom and I had this conversation recently and she's probably the least racist/discriminatory person I know and she said "I'll admit it, if I am downtown late at night and see a group of young black men, I get a little nervous." My counter point to her though, was that, if she saw a group of any teenage boys no matter what race, she'd probably be nervous... to which she agreed and also conceeded that it applies to girls, too, ha! All teenagers are scary!
See, it's not just racism... If I see an old person in front of me in line, I assume it's going to take forever...
I don't really think there is inherently wrong with all of this, it might not be fair, but it's human nature.
I think that true racism comes when anger and malice are felt toward specific groups of people.
If the guy in a turban on the airplane makes you wonder a little, who could blame really blame you? But if you honestly believe that all people of Middle Eastern descent should be: deported/exempt from flying/held in an internment camp, or any other atrocious thing, that's where the line is that it becomes racism.

I'm white and my husband is black and we've had this conversation many times. We both believe that EVERYONE is prejudice in some way...especially in the privacy of their own home. My father use to make scathing remarks about black people when I was young but once I married and had bi-racial children you would think the sun rose and set in my husband and kids. Until you experience another culture first hand you can easily fall into the trap of being prejudice.

I agree mutually with your buddy; i'd evaluate you racist as well. in case you truly believed in treating all races an same, then you truly does not concern your self with the race of someone who any man or woman likes. your own question manufacturers you a racist and a hypocrite.

I believe that we all have stereotypes in some way shape or form, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that we are all racist in the same vein.
I think alot of our predjudices and sterotypes unfortunately comes from our parents. The only way we can end the cycle is by making sure that we don't pass down the same set of standards and beliefs to our children.

to a certain degree, i think that people are taught that way from our parents, think about the tv show survivor when dropped off at the island the whites go together, the blacks group up, its not like they just group with anyone because they are both men, so yes i do feel that people as a whole dont want to be racist, nor admit it because it would be politically incorrect, but its just passed down from elders from all races in some way shape or form,

If you go by the dictionary definition, that one race is superior than some or all the others, than no, not everyone is. But I think everyone notices that there are different races. That is not inherently bad. It's natural. To see difference without making judgments is not a problem.

Not I, I hate everyone regardless of their race, religion, creed... yeah, and the rest of those things.
I will however take extra time out to hate a gay a little extra. But that's not the same as hating a human being.
BTW, I do have some idea of how a decent person presents himself in public. If I feel threatened by their mannerisms. I will pay special attn to them and watch my back a little more closely. I am familiar with good/bad behaviours of the mid-western whites and blacks I am equally familiar with how natives of Central America present themselves(as I have been fully submersed into their culture for years). If I'm watching my back because of a certain behaviour exhibited then that's not racism, its common sense.

I am not a racist but I do think that each of us has some annoying habits that bug the heck out of each other.

I believe so, to a degree. Some may not admit it, and some others let it show big time.
