If you lean more to war games make a realistic sounding name with a rank in front of it, but be reasonable use: PFC, SGT, maybe even LT, but then again if you've been playing for ages and rock at the games, I could see a Cpt.
If you lean more towards starwars games peruse the books and copy and past names or just go sterotypical Corellian, Haipain, or Tweliek. Like Didon Ta'Liank or Yuri Starskye etc(in this arena avoid main character names or any combo thereof such as Solo, Dreis, Darklighter, Skywalker, etc). Picking a good nickname that soots you, being a real gamer, and one that is awesome and memorable and not some of the garbage names out there can be harder than devouring and destroying the game itself.
