to be honest, i don't think the world wil end soon.
If someone dies - the world ended for them. But the world by itself, i don't think it will end. We just might be living in a dessert 100years from now cause the ice in the poles are melting and we just might be buying cans of oxygene cause of the ozone that is damaged.
But if you really think about it, the earth are so big and the layers are so thick that it will take a hell of a lot of bombings to damage it to that point.

As a person who does believe in God I also believe that no one will know when the end of the world will come or how it will happen I think it will end when no one expects it and in a way that we could not imagine. Although nuclear war would be the reason for the world to end or go down the downward spiral I dont think that this will be the case.

We do not have enough information to make an intelligent guess as to when the world will end. That message has been preached for a long time and the world is still around. In fact an angel had to tell the disciples to leave the mount where Jesus ascended because they were assuming His return immediately.

Most people have the wrong impression of "end of the world" or Apocalypse. It is the calling out of the Church, or Christians, and leaving everybody else alone to do their business. Then the Tribulation starts for 7 years, etc. Read Revelation for the ending of the story.

I think people who fear the end of the world also unconsciously welcome it.
Think about it: somehow the thought that the world will go on just fine without you (or me) can be more frightening than it ending along with us, and us not missing the next "chapters."
But could there be a nuclear war? Unfortunately, yes. I don't think humans would become extinct, but it would be plenty messy.

well since there have been more natural dusters recently. ie more floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and what not. i would say there is probably a good chance that the earth is starting its slide to the end. although i wouldn't put money on it its just an idea. i won't be shocked if the world ends be for i die i won't be shocked if it doesn't its still up in the air.

I think in 2036 (nothing to do with religion) there is supposed to be an astroid hitting the earth and killing a bunch of people. Kinda terrifying.

I think we are in a lot of trouble with terrorists and if they had a nuke, they would love to use it. Yes, we are in trouble.
