I hate to say it, but someone who has been locked up for one reason or another will end up back in again for a similar offense. Its almost like an addiction in their blood. They might want to change, but within one month's time, its right back again to the old ways. She should cut her loses and find a good, stable man who will love her and respect her.

She needs to move on, getting locked up and getting into trouble is a way of life for him, if he were really tired of the life then why keep doing things to keep getting locked up, he is not going to change people like this only say what they think the other person wants to hear so that they will have someone to fall back on because everyone else is tired of it, once out they start referring back to their old ways, they may want to change but they really dont know how because they have been getting into trouble for so long that it becomes a habit...

She should move on with her life. There's no telling what jail will do to him and whether he will truly change his life when he gets out. If he does change for the better, he can always find your sis and prove himself to her and THEN she can take him back if she so chooses. But she should live her life in the meantime.

Has he been locked up before this? Are drugs involved in the reason he is locked up? If yes to both or even one; I say she should break it off with him and move on.
