My "dream job" crossed my path a few months ago. I applied, was asked to fill out a form, and had 2 interviews. After the 2nd interview they told me I would have a decision in mid-December, I also was informed that the 2nd person I interviewed with was going on vacation then too. I FINALLY heard back last Saturday (12/30) and was told that she forwarded her hiring recommendations to HR and wanted to make sure I was still interested. I guess I'm a little stressed it's all taken so long, but it sounds positive to me. She said if I didn't hear back by next monday or tuesday (1/8-1/9) to call her back...What does HR do with all of this at this point?!?

HR is the human resource department. They deal with hiring, firing and everything in between. The human resource board will do the final check up on your paperwork and then hire you. Good luck. I hope your dream job is as fulfilling as you want it to be. :)
