Global Warming. An event this is -without doubt- to take place due to the carelessness of the people. Once the ozone decreases to a certain amount, the icebergs will begin to melt with alarming speed. True, oceans will rise... but who's to say it won't happen earlier than expected? Imagine: Instead of 20 years... how about 10. Or 5. Global Warming is a larger issue than most come to realize. Think about it. The oceans already cover more than half the mass of the Earth as it is. What happens when more is added? Will there even be an inland to move to? And how much time will we have? How much time will we have before people begin to realize the damage that our recklessness is bringing about? I mean, think about this winter! It wasn't as cold as the last, was it? Here's a worst case scenario: What if you were to wake up one morning in the blistering heat... in January.

Now, 2007 may be a new year... but is it for better or for worse?

It melts icebergs, to where the sea level rises. It warms the earth, to where the terrain in places (Alaska for example) thaws and the ground then in turn sinks. I'm sure you can imagine the damage of that as well to locals. Houses sinking, solid ground becoming more and more rare. Global warming heats up the earth as a whole. It melts icebergs, he habitat's for many animals are changed, where they will no longer be able to thrive.........eventually extinction if they are not able to adapt to another surrounding. Rain, floods, higher shores, less dry land mass, softer ground, etc. It basically affects everything.
