I think shoes and purses are greatly obsessed about because no matter the womans size she can still enjoy them. Where as with clothing thats not always the case. She may feel self conscious with a new top but wow those new shoes or that bag! Ya know?

She drops to her knees at the sight of shoes?
Heh, heh, heh. Okay, I won't comment.
Anyway, women and shoes... well, some women says shoes say alot about a person. Some men say that, actually, too. So for those people, shoes are some part of what they project to the world; a way to suggest their identity in a manner unspoken.
Which is why, I guess, some women have ALOT of shoes - they don't want to project the same image all the time. This is, at any rate, what my friend Lianni claims - her nickname amongst my circle of friends is "Shoes", if that tells you anything...

Almost all women's shoes HURT. Every time a woman looks at shoes she's thinking - maybe this pair will be different. Because her shoes always hurt she's always looking for new ones that might hurt a little less, or in a different spot to give the sore spot some rest.

I'm sorry, but I think I'm the exception to the rule. I have 2 pairs of trainers, 1 pair of slippers, 1 pair of smart shoes (for job interviews etc), 1 pair of casual shoes and 1 pair of boots (all black except for the slippers). I can't stand shoe shops and loads of shoes cluttering up my wardrobe and only buy a new pair when I have to. (I also HATE shopping full stop).

The same reason that men are so obsessed with cars, trucks, beer, motorcycles, boats, fishing, football, hooters, mom's home cooking, stupid stunts, and body funtions. Before too long, they will both get old an realize that everything listed above and the shoes are all bad for you anyway.

This is hard to explain, but this vidoe on YouTube is on that subject and it is hillarious. The second time I watched it I realized it was the same guy playing all the parts. I have a teen age daughter and she loves shoes more than I do. She said it just completes the outfit.

Yeah, shoes are cool. I don't like heels at all though, I'm more into comfort. I buy a lot of Born and shoes like those. Not into uncomfy at all.
But yeah, pink ones, orange ones, black ones, THEY ALL ROCK! A lot of us are obsessed with purses and hand bags also. I have all this junk I carry around, but I get sick of my purse after like a week and have to change it all around again!

Well we all have our weaknesses.
men's seems to be football. Can't have a romantic night out if a big game is on. I've even known weddings to be postponed because of it.
Shoes, however, can only add to that romantic night out. In the right show a woman feels her best, and if she feels her best she will be her best ;o)

A girl can't have too many shoes or handbags. Preferable ones that match each and every outfit. You want us to look nice don't you?

I don't know, but I have a peculiar fascination with cute sneakers. I'm sorry.
I don't really know why I love cute slip-ons and sneakers.
One thing is, these 'women's' shoes do not hurt (generally).
Girls love accessories.
