first for all do you have a network wireless addapter or a pcipcia card slot in the computer? and do you have the card? if not then does the computer hav a cat 45 socket on the back? if it does then you can hardwire it to the modem or the router
look at the computer manual if you have one, or download it from the manufactures web site
