It is traditional for men to wear nothing under thier kilts. Is this the same for scottish women and thier skirts?

Nope. Scottish women are supposed to wear petticoats and bloomers under their skirts, otherwise they're considered loose and immoral.

The kilts were a badge of honor for the scottish military,as well as their blanket.
