Whenever I see a hot guy, I can never tell if he is gay, straight or bi. I was at the shopping centre last night where I saw one of the best-looking guys that I have ever seen in my entire life. To give you an idea of how hot he was, he was even more attractive than ME! And he was sitting by himself, too. I didn't know whether to approach him or not because my gaydar sucks. So what are some clues that I can pick up on to determine another guy's sexuality?

You could ask.....or you could just be a normal human and make friends with him without trying to bed him in the mall.
As your friendship develops you would certainly learn whether or not he was gay and attracted to you.

YOUR GAY DAR NEEDS ADJUSTING.
JUST LIKE WITH THIS INDONESIAN FRIEND I HAVE.WE ARE ON im A FEW TIMES A WEEK,EXPLAIN AGAIN SOME THINGS TO HIM,BUT HE KEEPS MISSING THE POINT.

WHEN i go to the crowded marked here:I CAN SPOT A GAY GUY SEEN AT THE BACK ONLY WHETHER HE IS GAY OR NOT.
I HAVE SO FAR NOT BEEN WRONG:I GO OVER AND START TALKING.Within 3 sentences it's clear to both of us where it is leading to:sit down for a coffee or whatever they have and continue the conversation.
What ever else happens depends mostly if the two of us are or involved already or to frigging busy.

I agree you could start out trying to make a new friend, then as time goes buy you will know one way or another. If he is then go for it with him. If he is not then you at least have a new friend. Here is a clue to make a safe guess. Watch him as he looks at other people and see who his eyes seem to linger on. Remember that weather or not he is gay it will be important to be honest with him. I am not all into how to tell if a guy is gay or not, but...the only way to tell is to go up to him and talk to him..just out of accident..
Watch for variations in his voice, if he says things like, hon, love, sweetie, you know he's gay.
My girlfriends brother is gay and I cannot even tell he is gay, or couldn't have guessed. I guess it depends...
Gaydar isn't always on how you can approve, but its on how you can guess. Usually I can tell if a guy wears a tight shirt, or the way he walks..or the way he talks and uses hand language. So..good luck to you. The least you could do is out yourself and see if he is!? lol...

You need to be aware of his eye contact or body language. A gay man if he sees something that he is interested in , he will go out of the way for a second look. You need to walk in the area and definately have eye contact then if he looks a you, then walk up to him and begin talking... Good Luck.

You need to spend more time getting to know other gay men as people and not as sexual objects. Gaydar is about knowing the other person. It's not all about you girl!

Just walk up and strike up an conversation...I'm not saying point blank ask the guy about his preferences, but you may get hints early on. :) The only direction you can go from there is to make an attempt at friendship and find out for yourself.

Spend more desirable time mutually with your gay friends and see the way they behave, what they prefer, what they do, how they behave! Then once you spot a guy, those products will leap at you! yet, it takes time, in certain circumstances i hit upon myself falling for a straighty so possibly you shouldnt hear to me in any respect. best of success jay

Just talk to him and see if your personalities mesh. If so, try to become friends before making any sexual advances. If you become good friends you'll find out if he's gay and spare yourself any undue embarassment by not making any advances.

I can't help you-just about everyone looks gay to me nowadays, what with body shaving, eyebrow waxing, etc. Sorry, this isn't supposed to sound smarmy.
