is it possible to lock my laptop with a key..there is a place on the ouside to lock it where to get the key?

there is a small lock symbol on the outside and a place for a weird looking key.......how does this work....i need to make my laptop like ft. knox...

Perhaps this is a dumb answer, but I would call the manufacturer and ask them how that works.
