I'm a young teenager, and I don't know how to apply makeup. I don't know what to buy, how to put it on, or anything else to get the natural look.

First of all, well done for choosing to go for the natural look. I think Christina Aguilera looks like a clown. For your age, you won't need much make-up because you're young and also we're going for the natural look which enhances your features instead of covering them up with goop.
If you need a foundation to cover any skin problems, I use Covergirl's Ultimate Finish liquid powder make-up. It comes with a little sponge and after you apply it, it leaves your skin with a velvelty finish. No need for any powder. If your skin is in pretty good shape, but you just need to cover up a zit or 2, or maybe some dark circles, you can use the covergirl just as a concealer, or just buy a small tube of concealer.

For your eyes, if you want to use eye liner, then apply a very thin line on the top eye lids only. A pencil with a smooth formula, but I use liquid eyeliner. It glides on more easily. To apply eye liner, close your eye and with a finger placed on the side of your eye, pull it taut where it's slanting.

You can totally skip the eyeliner and still look fabuous. Next comes mascara. If you are blonde or have light hair, choose a dark brown color. You can use black for brunette hair. Apply on upper lashes only. Choose a mascara that is not prone to clumping or flaking. Fix any mistakes with a Q-tip dipped in vaseline.

For blush, choose a color that is a soft pink, a soft rose or a soft peach. Apply in a circular motion on the apples of your cheeks. To find the apples of your cheeks, simply smile really big and apply color on the highest point of your cheeks. Be sure not to gather too much on your blush brush. A little goes a long way. Blend in a gentle circular motion brushing towards your ears. Stop and look in the mirror to see how it looks before adding more.

As for your lips, a nice soft colored gloss will work best. Lipstick is becoming a thing of the past. Glosses are all the rage.

If you don't have an eyebrow brush, buy one. Your eyebrows are the frames of your face. They should be well kept. If you pluck them, a common problem is over plucking. Fuller eyebrows with a nice natural looking arch is the best.

Good luck. Have fun.

Okay... First search around your local drug store for make-up you like, try Boots or Superdrug. It doesn't matter if you mix and match between No7 or Rimmel etc and make-up doesn't always have to be expensive (although the more expensive the foundation, the more coverage you'll get)..

It would take a long time to explain so why don't you look on these websites for some useful tips and information:
http://www.101lifestyle.com/beauty/makeup/makeup.html
http://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/english/beauty/tips/applying_make_up/index.html

And use www.wikihow.com and surf around there, start on this page and then you can go into more depth onto applying eyeliner or eyeshadow etc:
http://www.wikihow.com/Apply-Makeup

You should also ask your Mum/sister/friends to help you because they will always give you an honest answer on how something makes you look. I learned a lot of stuff from my Mum too... And also magazines will give you loads of info!

You could go to a department store and ask for a free make-over where they can show you how to apply and also stuff that suits you, and you don't have to feel pressurized into buying their products either, just say you'll think about it. Or your local beauty salon will probably do free make-up demonstration sessions sometimes...

For the neutral look use browns and pale pinks for all your make-up (eyeshadow and blusher) and the foundation and poweder closest to your skin tone and it's OK to use some eyeliner and mascara but don't over-do it!

It'll take a little while to learn how to do stuff perfectly so sit down one weekend armed with cleanser and cotton wool pads (ESSENTIAL for removing make-up, you must remove make up or you will end up with a lot of acne) and just try out different methods. Remember you don't have to do exactly what websites say, experiment with different styles and you could put just one layer of eyeshadow on instead of three different shades etc. So experiment with styles to suit your personality!

Make-up looks really good if it's not over-done so don't be afraid that it will make you look tarty because it will only do that if you go over the top!

Good luck with your new art...

Well i am a 15 year old girl and i know what ur talking about ;you want to get that natural look; so you need to go to the store; and pick out a cover up; foundation that is similar to your skin color; then you either want a light brown/tan eye shawdow; if ya want to wear eyeliner or mascara; go w/ black. and if ya want blush go with a light pink; and if ya wanna add that extra touch. use some Sparkles on ur eyelids.

Procedure.
When u get that make up; first u wipe the coverup;foundation all over ur face. advoiding the eyes; then you put a light layer or eye shadow right on ur eyelid; the eyeliner on the bottom part of ur eyelid. and mascara only on ur top eyelashes. then a light layer of blush on ur cheeks. and BANG ur ready to go :]

Well first you just need to find the right foundation for your skin tone, at stores they usually have products that you try on your skin to tell if it's the right color for your skin tone. If you want to get the natural look, I would just use a little foundation, mascara, and lipgloss.....thats about as natural as it gets. If you're really having trouble,I suggest just asking your mom,or a womanly figure to help you out.

1st- put foundation on put a little dot on cheeks, forehead, nose, chin. then spread it out with a wedge (or you can use a cotton swab).make sure the foundation matches your skin tone.
2nd- Put a quaters worth of powder put make sure its blended well. it should match your skin tone.
3rd-Take a eyeshadow brush and dip it in an eyeshadow you want then put the dark color on the bottom right by your lashes should go up to the crease where your eyelid folds. then the lighter color just above the crease and then blend both colors.
4th- put mascara on. take the little stick thing that comes with it and go side to side with it but not to much go from the inside by eyelash line then go to the tip of your eyelashs

good luck!!!

I have a 12 year old daughter and I helped her choose some neutral colors...She is very faired skinned. But I think the best place to go is the mall. You know how they sample makeup on your face while you sit at the counter...Tell them to help you choose colors and teach you how to appy them right!

Beauty collages have real good deals on just about everything. Many do make up and make overs. Even if they don't have your eyebrows done and I bet the girls will be happy to answer all your questions. You might even make a friend.
