Tempearment is the characteristic or habitual tendency of your emotional state.
My temperament is pretty easy-going, unless I'm riled. Things that set me off are injustice, bigotry, intolerance, ignorance of issues but having an (uninformed) opinion anyway, and just plain meaness for meaness' sake. (Rosie O'Donnell comes to mind!)
