You can still use Itunes. All you have to do is drag your music over to your Ipod. If you sync your Ipod with your computer, it will delete all of your music. Just when you get new music, drag it over to the name of your Ipod and it will upload. Since I'm using more than one computer to download my music, this has worked fine for me.

Erm, unless you've made a new library on the new hard drive, or there was an existing library, there won't be any songs on there, so accepting it as your new iTunes library will remove all the songs from your iPod.

I think you'll have to specify "manual" control rather than the auto update thing. Say no to syncing with this new library, then manually add the new library to the ipod.

If you answer yes iTunes will copy whatever tunes you have in your new library overwriting whatever is on your iPod.

There are other programs that will manage your iPod.

I can't recommend any as I've only ever used iTunes.
