I'm not very good in dealing with people on a social level-family and friends not included. What should I do?

Treat others as you like to be treated: with kindness, consideration and good manners. Make encounters such as meals, parties etc. more about others than about yourself...without becoming a doormat. Try to draw people out to talk about themselves or their interests, we all enjoy that!

Purchase 'Town & Country's Social Graces' by Jim Brosseau. It is available at amazon. It is informative and has humour..well written.

Some of us are like that. If you want to improve your social graces etc, keep going to places where reasonable people go. Good luck!

keep trying, at every party theres a wall flower so no-one really thinks anything of it.
just be polite and if its still a struggle take a good friend with you to support you and if all else fails to tell people your shy so they wont think that ur just ignoring them
