Commutative.

Associative is incorrect. The associative property is used for:
5 + (6 + 7) = (5 + 6) + 7

Only commutative.

Commutative is moving the items around (like you do when you commute).

In the first case you are switching the order of 6+7 to make it 7+6.

In the second case you are switching the order of the 4 * (...) to become (...) * 4.

Associative would be regrouping. There is no changing of what is inside the parentheses, so associative would be *incorrect*.

The answer is commutative property for both.
