On Jan 3 he did an interview with IGN. He still has 4-5 weeks of radiation treatments left, and he is optimistic about his recovery.

I read an article on pwinsider.com that he is doing good with his treatments, which should last another 4-5 weeks. This info comes from Piper himself.
