Get this straight and don't be foolish about it any more, okay? The basic technology required for a manned flight to the moon was developed in Germany in the late 1930s through the mid 1940s. This technology needed a lot of refinement to make a safe manned flight a reality.

We worked on that technology through the 1950s and 60s, and made the first manned moon flight in 1969. It all fits together, and if you read all the history and don't let the wackos lie to you, it will be impossible for you to continue to be fooled into believing that the moon missions did not take place.

The American people were much better educated and more intelligent in the 1960s and 70s than they are now, and it would never have occurred to NASA engineers and managers that 35 years later a bunch of ignorant dolts with nothing to do would come up with a stupid conspiracy theory stating that the moon landings were faked.

If that had occurred to them, I suspect the engineers would have gone to the trouble to create a larger and more visible object of proof, to compensate for the decline in the quality of the American mind and its education that occurred during and after the Reagan presidency.

But there is a real physical proof available. The astronauts who landed on the moon left behind reflectors that are used every day by astronomers to measure the irregularities of the moon's orbit. This is done by bouncing laser beams off reflectors at known locations that were left by the astronauts. Ask your science teacher for information about these experiments. You can arrange to see this done with your own eyes.

Let me put the question to you this way: If you think the moon landings were faked, when did they become "fake?" When did the idea become popular that NASA had invented the idea of an imaginary moon mission and created a huge technological empire to fool people? When was all this fakery done? In the 60s? 70s? 80s?

And why? What was the point? And how did they fool all the people that reported the news, operated the machinery, built the moon rockets, and watched them take off and land?

Do you realize that one American in 500 was a part of the Apollo program? Millions of them are still alive. Are they fooling you? Why? If you go out to a football game, look around you. In the stadium there are people who worked on the Apollo program.

Ask around. You are surrounded by people who know for sure that American astronauts stood on the moon more than 35 years ago.

We did land on the moon. Yes, there are some strange details (such as the crosshair marks on some pictures seeming to be behind the moon flag), but there's much more evidence that "the Eagle" landed on the moon in '69. Besides, there were other successful trips to the moon after Armstrong first landed, even if there was some chance the '69 landing didn't happen.

Well...you have a valid question but I believe that we infact went to moon. The reason that i believe is because...if you think it was a big lie, Russians would have been on it to expose the story a long time ago. Remember there was space age race going on during that time with USSR. There were several satellites from Russia that could have exposed the story as lie if it had proof that Neil Armstrong never landed. Since it was not a big issue from Russian side, i think Armstrong really landed on moon.

you guys are all sooo incredibly dumb. are you seriously so big headed as to think that the good old americans made it to the moon. and that there is no chance that yes, with an enormous budget it was all an act? the world has so many nasty hidden secrets this may very well be one. and my source is not stupid sites on the internet, but reliable facts. there are many things you cant explain about the event. even today, how is it possible that the tapes of the first landing on the moon have been mysteriously lost?
theres a chance it may never have happened. no one said it didnt happen for sure; i dont htink the poster is someone stupid enough to believe the dumb things the internet says. open up and stop being rude.
its really illogical to think that it definetely happened.

Believing or not believing is one thing, that such an event occured is quite another...

You are correct in that many myths still exist today (usually due to a lack of scientific understanding or erroneous/insufficient information), but there is concrete evidence to support the Moon-landing claim (photos, rocks, radio/radar concensus with the Russians who would have loved to see us fail...).

I would inquire as to why you think the way you do; what evidence do you find shakey?

FOX aired a show a few years back that claimed there was no moon landing (see first link). Although this show did not initiate the conspiracy theory about the moon landing it did include many of that theory's claims - every one of these arguments were addressed and easily debunked (remaining links).

It is good to be (healthfully) skeptical about most claims, especially when these claims seem extraordinary, but (usually) some cursory investigation of the evidence (or of another's investigation of said evidence) can settle most concerns quickly.

The most important thing is to be careful where you get your information from, especially when using the web; use a reliable source, preferably one that is peer reviewed (checked) by others within the field of study, or one that cites such pages. (i.e. don't just "take my word for it", see my cited sources and review the arguments for yourself)

Of course he landed. Would we spend 14 years, 23 billion dollars, hire 250,000 people and kill three astronauts to make a movie? I really think that there should be a trust fund set up. Those who believe we landed and those who do not would all put in $20,000 each and when we get the next generation of satellites circling the moon and shooting photo's of the stuff we left behind, those who believe could split the pot once the photo's of the old landing sites came in.

It is not healthy to have an uninformed opinion - that is why there are suicide bombers, because they have been brainwashed and do not think for themselves.

Read the history before you make stupid announcements.

Consider than for 7 years of the Apollo program hundreds of very bright controllers worked in the control centres at Florida and Houston, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.. Though most film makers could make a hoax film, nobody could get it past those controllers and fool hundreds of them for 7 years.

You have not thought it through, have you? Think for yourself. Do the research, and stop making a fool of yourself.

We had a lot more to lose if we just faked it and it would had leaked out. The race for space and to get to the moon no matter what, to stay up on the Russians, was the top priority. We had just enough science and engineering to make it happen, but no guarantees to get it safely on the moon, back off the moon, and safely back. But what the heck....first man on the moon, dead or alive. They were lucky, they went and came back.

I think you should do more research on the subject. We landed on the moon plain and simple. Then we did it 5 more times.

I think you need to look at facts, rather than the idiotic conspiracy theory BS on the web.

The conspiracy theory websites do not have any logical basis in science or fact, and are generally written by scientifically illiterate buffoons whose sole purpose in life is to make the reader look even dumber than they are.
