It's just like watching America's Next Top Model and wishing you could compete even though you are 5'1"! Sometimes you've just gotta feel pretty. Usually those who have no business judging others are the first to judge.

How do you know the girls are ugly? Do you think my avatar is cute? If so, does that automatically make me ugly? I guess they do it because they want to. And if they use Yahoo Avatars there really is not too much choice, they are going to come out cute no matter what.

True, there are no "ugly" Avatars. But, who'd want to look at that, anyway?
Also, why are we supposed to think you're cute like your own Avatar? Don't be a bigot. It's a turn-off for pretty girls with working brains. ~L~

There aren't any ugly avatars. I would assume that most girls pick the ones that resemble them closest(hair, skin color).

have you seen any ugly avatars? it's just not an option.
I was just thinking how cool it'd be to have them aged properly. or, have blue hair options... wrinkles, etc.
at least they now have plus size options, but not plus enough for some folks.

Ive tried to make my avatar as much like myself as possible...if it looks ugly to you then that's your prerogative
