I've seen children of parents who don't encourage thier kids to be active, don't let them fall down, don't let them get dirty. They end up acting like babies. They feel the parents anxiety and then have anxiety over the same issues. It interferes with thier development. \

I have a Cap moon... my parents got divorced when I was really young so everyone was very careful what they said around me for fear that I would turn out the "bad" kid.... But I grew up fine, no addictions or bad stories to tell about. It was my Aries moon half sister who is pretty much a disaster... think a mix between Ke$ha and Mariah Carey... A spoiled brat, she was always very head strong and did whatever she wanted so they just let her do stupid sh!t and then come crying back to them. My half brother has an Aquarius moon and he is practically never home but he is on varsity football, friends with the nerds, the church kids, the jocks, the stoners, the cheerleaders... He's an every kind of guy but has trouble maintaining relationships with loved ones. Then again he is only 17 so it's hard to tell how he will turn out. My parents trust him because for the most part he stays out of trouble and makes good decisions. Great question!

They are not treating you like a baby that is just your perception of how thry are treating you because they will not give you what you want when you want it. It's hard for kids to understand that they can't have everything they desire, just enjoy being a kid, cause when you grow up all you do is work eat and sleep, so you better have fun now.

If children don't play and get exercise they will develope poor habits that will lead them down a path of loneliness and obesity(you'll be fat).

I don't know, but I do know this....enjoy being under your parents care while your there, because its not going to last long. Before you know it you will be out on your own working hard, trying to keep up with the bills, making some really hard decisions a lot of mistakes, trying to make ends meet.

Its a hard cruel world out there, so try to make the best of your time at home. Before you know it , it will be gone forever.

Have fun, be young, leave the worrying up to your parents...it all comes to an end, so make the best of it, your going to miss it someday!

Why should they treat them like babies if they aren't? Unfortunately, I see the opposite too often...parents that DO treat their young kids like babies, it is sickening!

As for the second question. They might get fat, and they will almost definitely develop poor lifestyle habits. If you don't play and exercise as a kid, you most likely will grow up to be a couch potato. This can lead to poor health and obesity.

I hate it when people can't properly word their questions..

Is your question: Why don't parents treat their young kids that aren't babies like babies, or Why DO parents treat their young kids that aren't babies like babies?

If it's the first: why should they since they aren't babies?
If it's the second: who knows? Maybe they're trying to keep them little, or they're afraid that if he gets older it means they, too, are getting older; especially if it's the last child.

And staying indoors all day and not getting outside will lead to obesity and a poor ability to interact with other kids.

Question for you? What school did you go to? I ask so I can be sure not to send my kids there, the language program is obviously the pits...

Maybe they are trying to teach their children how to spell instead.
