Not believable, but I'm willing to hope; we should make sure we hold her accountable when/if the "promise" is broken. The partisanship, which results from BOTH sides being unreasonable, has made government and the society at large very polarized, with each side trying everything possible (lying, gerrymandering, dirty tricks, flip-flops, fraudulent campaign promises) to win and to smear the other side in the process.

So why hope? Glasnost! If we can resolve what seemed to be our irreconcilable differences with the Soviets, we ought to be able to resolve our differences within the nation. Here's to San Fran Nan (clink) with all hope she will sincerely do everything she can to end the political cold war. God help our children if she doesn't!

Here is when Nancy Pelosi will be non-partisan:
When HELL freezes over- The Earth starts rotating the oposite direction and the Moon becomes a ball of organic Swiss Cheese!!

Then and only then will Nancy Pelosi be non-partisan!

Is she selling a bridge in San Francisco too? This is a woman who, as minority leader, essentially forced party members to sign what amounted to a loyalty oath on legislation important to her and the Democratic leadership. Bi-partisanship will last about a week, a little longer in the media.

Give me a break, of course she'll be partisan. At best she'll be bi-partisan assuming the R's play ball.

I don't think she ever promised to be NON-partisan.

I hope it was just lip service. The last thing I want is another rubber stamp for Bush. I hope they fight him tooth and nail, because he stands for everything I don't. That is why I voted Democrat in Nov. to stop Bush, not enable him.

She might try, but the rest of the bunch (both sides) will not let her.

As believable as Bush's promises to do the same.

They're both full of crap.

She never promised any such thing.
