It depends on my objective. If I only need an inch I'll take it. If I need a mile, and I was given an inch, I can negotiate getting the rest of that mile. ; )

No I am thankful for what I am given. and I do not take advantage of people's generosity.
I do love to walk for miles though 4-6 miles a day would be great!

When I'm in the mood for a long walk, yes.
*edit: I know how to stretch things, so it's more like I take an inch and turn it into a mile ;)

No, I rarely even take the inch, but the vast majority of people I know will take the mile and complain they didn't receive more. Human nature is incredibly demanding and fickle.

I'm sure if you add up all the times I've "taken" an inch... it would come to a mile, maybe 2

nope.i won't take take much.
but for sure,i would try to get som extra inches with that.
its just a part of human nature than a person always wants more than he gets.
i also am the same.if you give me one inch,i'll try to take some more, not a mile.
